During the year a number of tours are conducted. Some are one-day trips, others are of a longer duration.

In 2008 we conducted a 21 day tour to the UK and France.

The tours allow members to visit interesting gardens and sites in the company of friends.

ALL PAYMENTS should be forwarded to the Treasurer, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Payments can be handed to the Treasurer at a monthly meeting and should be in a sealed envelope showing:

• Name of traveller/s
• Name of tour and/or Tour Code
• Name, address and phone number on back of cheque payments;
• Cheques should be made out to Highlands Garden Society Bowral Inc; and
• Indicate amount enclosed in sealed envelope

Costing of Tours

The Society takes great care in planning tours and arranging best prices commensurate with quality.

Tours are priced on a cost neutral or a small surplus basis to the Society.

Because of the high workload involved in these tours – before, during and after each tour – the Society decided in May 2004 that the full costs of the Tour Director should be met as part of each tour.

Cancellation of tours or parts of tours

Should any circumstance arise that is beyond its control the Society reserves the right at any time to vary or cancel any of the advertised tours on offer.

Where a tour commences but circumstances, eg weather, do not permit visits to intended sites it will be at the discretion of the Tour Director as to how funds allocated to such sites, eg entry fees to gardens or heritage sites, will be distributed. Options to the Tour Director will include, but not be limited to, paying for entry fees to alternative sites or retention by the Society.

Traveller Cancellation

Where a proposed traveller cancels a booking within 7 days of departure no refund will be given unless the booking can be resold.
